A new promising berry culture is a fruiting hybrid of blackcurrant and gooseberries. The bush is erect, sprawling, shoots in an adult plant reach 2.0-2.2 m. In height. There are no spikes on the shoots of Yoshta. The leaves are similar to blackcurrant leaves - large, shiny, dark green, but without the aroma of blackcurrant. Flowers appear since April. Berries ripen since July. They are oval with smooth skin. An immature berries are similar to the green berries of gooseberries, mature yashta berries are black, with a purple shade, large (from 3 g.). The taste of the berries is pleasant, the middle between black currant and gooseberries. Yashta berries contain 2 times more vitamin C (900-1000 mg %) than black currants. The yield from the bush is an average of 5.5 kg, the maximum is 10.7 kg. The first yosht harvest will give 2 years after planting. Growing in one place, it fruitfully fruit over 15-20 years.
