“Foreign Literature” (“Il”) Monthly Soviet (1955–1991) and the Russian (since 1991) literary and artistic magazine. Specializes in the publication of translation literature. It was founded in July 1955 as the Board of the Board of the Union of Writers of the USSR. The magazine publishes the most significant works of modern world literature in the translations of the best domestic translators.
