The asymmetric, spreading, slightly flattened crown of an adult plant reaches no more than 90-100 cm in width and 40-50 cm in height. Branches grow horizontally, their ends fall to the ground. A short hard needles are painted in gray-green color. It is acute and prickly, has an needle -shaped shape. The yellow-green needles of young shoots are getting dark as it matures.

The contrast between last year and young growth makes the shrub bright, motley, attracting attention. A compact size, relatively slow growth, allow the use of juniper Dream Joy in small gardens, not fearing that it will develop and break the proportions of the composition.
