The book of Boris Karlov tells about the adventures of Karlushi and other little men on the island of the Blue Star. This fairy -tale world is on the planet Earth, but people do not see it - just like the tiny men inhabiting the Earth do not see people. But you can still get into their life if you use the magic window, the name of which is the book. In Karlush on the island of the Blue Star, magic men go on a sea voyage. No one assumed that travelers would have to survive incredible adventures and be captured by pirates, mechanical robots and space aliens.

To someone, these stories will remind the Dunno of Nikolai Nosov, and to someone-Anna Khvolson’s book about Murzilka and Forest Man, written at the end of the 19th century. Boris Karlov was inspired by these sources when creating his universe.
