The bush is large, dome -shaped. The leaves are cup -shaped dense. Yellow-green with a greenish-blue border. The texture is greedy. The flowers are white. It grows better in partial shade. Resistant to damage to snails and slugs. Very spectacular.

The place for planting the host is selected depending on the color of the leaves. Varieties with dark and blue leaves should be planted in shady and protected places from rain, only there the plants will retain a fresh look until the fall. Yellow -shaped varieties successfully grow both in sunny areas and in partial shade, but it is also advisable for them to provide a slight shade in the hottest midday hours.

Pay attention, the coloring and texture of the leaves fully manifest in the host only for the 2nd year after planting. They should be planted taking into account the size in the adulthood. Otherwise, adult specimens with sockets up to one and a half meters in diameter will eventually close perennials growing nearby.

The optimal landing time is spring. Processed soil with neutral acidity is suitable for hosts. Do not plant them on sandy and heavy loamy soils. Poor soils must be improved by adding humus, sand and various mineral fertilizers. The soil should be wet, but without stagnation.

The root system at the host develops in breadth, which must be taken into account when choosing neighbors. The recommended distance is at least 50 cm. Care consists in weeding, watering, loosening. Maintaining the soil around the plant in a well -groomed state will protect the plant from slugs.
