King of the mountains. Abu E.
The next volume of “adventure masters” introduces modern readers to the amazing French writer Edmone Abu. This master of words and grotesque, cleverly fencing with a sharp pen Voltaire and the Shutovsky cap of Moliere, made a lot of noise in the restless XIX century and at the end of his rather short life managed to become an academician. Finally, for the first time in Russian, two of his most famous novels come out, two masterpieces:
“King of the Mountains”-a tragicomic story of a bicentral wolf with wet eyes, playing terrible mouse cats with their victims;
“A man with a broken ear” - fantastic adventures of the mummy of the spy of Napoleon, wandering at the twilight of the second empire.
The book is decorated with more than two hundred illustrations of Gustav Dorea and Eugene Kurbuen.
