This book contains the legends of the countries of medieval Europe, which tells about the exploits committed in the name of love. These legends tell both fictional heroes and real historical faces, explain the origin of holidays and geographical names. According to their plots, poems, plays and operas are written. Some expositions of legends are published for the first time. Fragments of the works of medieval poets are inserted in them.
