Kolyma stories. A set of 2 books. Shalamov V.T.
Varlam Tikhonovich Shalamov (1907-1982)-prose writer and poet. His works from the Kolyma Stories cycle are a terrible document of the era, the study of the physical and moral degradation of a person in a labor camp. The ruthless prose of V. T. Shalamov about the Gulag is based on the circles of hell he had passed in the 1930-1950s in the forced labor camps. After returning from Kolyma, he wrote more than 140 stories and essays.
“Kolyma stories” consist of six collections of stories and essays. V.T. Shalamov insisted that the whole works are precisely collections - while preserving the order in which the stories are located. The first book included the first three copyright collections from the cycle - “Kolyma Stories”, “Left Coast” and “Artist of the shovel.”
The second book included the last three copyright collections from the cycle - “Essays on the criminal world”, "Resurrection of larch" and "glove, or KR-2".
