The most famous semantic translation of the Koran into Russian, committed by an outstanding scientist-military person, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Ignatius Yulianovich Krachkovsky. It was first published in 1963 and withstood more than 40 publications, the total circulation of which exceeds 2 million copies.

This literal translation in Russia is considered academic due to its high scientific significance, it is called a nearby vertex of the achievement of Western and Russian Arabicism and is rightfully one of the most authoritative sources among Russian -speaking Muslims.
