Laboratory work is presented, in which the device and kinematic circuits of turning-screw-cutting and some other types of metal-cutting machines are given. The types of incisors, sorel and cutters, as well as the measurement of their geometric parameters are considered. The experiment planning methodology is given by the example of the study of the process of plastic deformation of metals. The issues of the production of various types of blanks are highlighted.
