Lady Chatterly lover. Lawrence D.G.
David Herbert Lawrence remains one of the important writers in his homeland, in England, and, perhaps, throughout Europe. The main part of its vast heritage is novels. The best of them - “Lady Chatterly's lover”, “women in love”, “sons and lovers” - became the classics of English -speaking literature of the twentieth century. However, it was the “Lady Chatterly lover” who brought Lawrence the greatest success and the most bitter disappointment. The intensity of passions and the brightness of love scenes were perceived as a challenge to society. Immediately after the publication in 1928, it was banned, and the finished circulation was seized and destroyed. Only in 1960, after the loud trial, stirring all of England, the novel was rehabilitated and to this day remains one of the most beloved and read.
