According to one version, the name "Lax" comes from the Persian "Lakhshah", meaning the type of noodles used for cooking. According to the other, from the Chinese word “辣 沙”, meaning “acute sand” due to the use of freshwater shrimp for the preparation of seasoning for soup. This soup has many cooking options, but it is mainly prepared with the addition of seafood or chicken fillet.
