Language in the language. Artistic discourse and foundations of linguistic aesthetics. Feschenko V.
The beginning of the 20th century in art and the humanities was alerted by a special interest in the language that launched the process of deep understanding the relationship between language and artistic creativity. This reflection resulted in the so -called linguistic -aesthetic turn, which is dedicated to the book of Vladimir Feshchenko. The author considers linguistic aesthetics as a concept aimed at studying the language of art and, in particular, the language of fiction at the junction of linguistic theory and aesthetic teachings. V. Feshchenko traces the formation of this approach from the era of romanticism to the present day and demonstrates the scientific potential of its tools that can complement the methods of such disciplines as linguistic poetics, semiotics of language and art, linguophylosophy, cultural anthropology, as well as restore destroyed bridges between literary studies and linguistics. The reader has to get acquainted with the main categories of linguistic -aesthetic theory, the main of which is artistic discourse, which is, according to Valerie’s field, “language in the language”.
Vladimir Feshchenko - Doctor of Philology, Senior Researcher at the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, specialist in the field of the relationship of language and art.
