In the proposed book, the author, the outstanding domestic linguist A. A. Leontyev (1936–2004), introduces readers to the theory of speech activity.
The first chapter discusses the most important theoretical problems of a general nature - the object and object of linguistic science, the concept of speech activity, the function of the language.
