The Germans are preparing a plan for the elimination of the Kursk ledge - a strategically dangerous bridgehead for the Wehrmacht. To get reliable data on the actions of the Nazis, the Soviet command throws the group of scouts, captain Gleb Shubin into the enemy rear. Fighters manage to find out which units and in what quantity are opposed by the Red Army on this site. But on the way back, the group is ambushed.
