Lectures on discrete mathematics. Sloky M.N., Podolsky V.V., Rubtsov A.A.
The textbook is written based on the materials of the course "Discrete Mathematics", which is read by junior students of the faculty of computer sciences of the Higher School of Economics. The themes of this course are part of the basic mathematical culture and are necessary for future mathematicians, programmers and specialists in the field of data analysis, but are not included in the traditionally established courses of the initial mathematical cycle (mathematical analysis, algebra, linear algebra).
The book sets out the initial information from the enumeration combinatorics, the theory of counts, the theory of numbers, the theory of the sets, the theory of probability, the theory of games, the theory of computability. Without pretending to be a full-fledged coverage of any of the theories mentioned, the textbook gives the introduction to these areas, on the one hand, sufficient for students of the corresponding specialties, and on the other, it allows you to read specialized literature.
The book will be useful to younger students courses studying the course of discrete mathematics; teachers of this discipline; as well as a wider circle of fans of mathematics.
