This publication presents the selected lectures of the author’s team of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychosomatics of the FPPs GBOU VPO First MGMU named after THEM. Sechenov devoted to the urgent problems of modern psychosomatic medicine. The literature and many years of experience in the activities of the department are summarized in the framework of interdisciplinary interaction with other divisions of the First MGMU named after THEM. Sechenov (Department of Faculty Therapy No. 1, Clinic of Cardiology, Skin and Maulic Diseases) and the Russian Oncological Scientific Center of the RAMS named after N.N. Blokhina. Starting with an introductory lecture, the reader receives information about a fundamentally new author's model of psychosomatic pathology, not only expanding theoretical ideas about this field of medical science, but also allowing to determine the principles of diagnosis and therapy. Modern data on epidemiology of psychosomatic disorders in general medicine are given, including the results of large -scale studies performed at the department. Complex psychosomatic dependencies are highlighted, characterizing both mental disorders directly related to somatic pathology (somatogeny, nosogenia), and forming in the bodily sphere outside such a connection (somatopsychosis, hypochondria, etc.). The “profile” characteristics of psychopathological formations are presented with different general -medical disciplines (cardiology, oncology, dermatology, etc.). The issues of suicidal risk are considered in general -medical practice, the basics of therapy for psychosomatic disorders, the methods of using psychotropic drugs and the principles of organizing assistance to this contingent. Each lecture is equipped with illustrations and a brief bibliographic list; A list of recommended literature is also given.
