Albert Pason Terkhun (1872–1942) - American writer, journalist and dog breeder. Terkhun had a reputation as a beautiful journalist, but the celebrity made his stories about dogs. He became popular thanks to books on the adventures of his favorites of the Collie breed. In his world -famous nursery, the beginning of the breeds of today's long -haired collie is laid.
The story “Led” (1919) is a story about “The Pse of Noble Blood and a noble soul”. It was first published twenty years before the publication of the famous novel by Lassy Eric Knight. The story of Led caused an incredible response, influencing even the formation of the standards of the collie breed, and withstood more than eighty reprints.
