Legends about kings David and Shlomo. Byalik, Chaim-Nahman

In the book “Legends of Kings David and Shlomo”, Chaim-Nahman Byalik (1873–1934) collected, processed, and captured legends from the Bible, Talmud, Midras, comments and folklore of different Jewish communities. The author turns to the East European, Ashkenaz tradition and at the same time uses the eventful and psychological accents characteristic of the Jews of the Islamic world. Traditions and legends familiar to us by canonical and literary texts, together with the original stories of Byalik, allow the reader to touch the basics of Jewish spirituality.
