The book “Legends of Lenfilma” has collected interesting and little-known stories and facts about creating the most popular films of the oldest film studio of Russia.

journalist Artemy Agrafenin for ten years has been working as a press secretary of the Lenfilm film studio. All this time, he enthusiastically collected materials, met with Lenfilma veterans, studied the archives of the film studio and family archives of filmmakers, studied the transcript of artistic advice and old newspaper binders, including Lenfilmi Kadre. The publication contains the stories of the creation of almost forty tapes of the Lenfilm gold collection: from Chapaev and Peter the Great to the “dog heart” and “features of national hunting”-the life of cinematic Leningrad-Petersburg for 90 years.

The value of the book is added by rare photos taken on the set of films in the 1930-2000s, as well as unique illustrations from the funds of the film studio and personal archives.
