Lemon. Motodziro K.
Kadzia Motodziro was born in 1901 in Osaka. His literary activity lasted a little over ten years. Recognition in literary circles came only after the death of tuberculosis in 1932. Two years after his death, the collection of his works in two volumes was first published, and in 1959 a complete collected works of Cadzia Motodziro appeared in three volumes, which included all the diary records of the writer.
the only book published during the life of Cadias was a collection called Lemon (1931), which included twenty stories in the genre of ego-biomatism (“Vatakusi-Sesets”). They are distinguished by deep psychologism, pure lyrical intonation and a skillful style of writing, reminiscent of emphasized rude and careless, but actually exquisite hieroglyphic scrolls.
The works from this collection earned the author not only popularity, but also the love of readers, and the story that gave the name of the book is included in most Japanese anthologies and textbooks along with other masterpieces of Japanese literature.
