Leningrad. 900 days of blockade. Shiro -Rorad A.B.
The book tells about the most little -known and, as a rule, non -auditable events and facts from the history of the blockade of Leningrad. The real situation with the supply of food, fuel, electricity and ammunition is shown. New information about life in the besieged city, including negative phenomena, are given. The problems associated with the evacuation of Leningraders are also considered in a new way.
The author emphasizes the decisive importance of artillery in the defense of Leningrad. At the same time, he does not bypass such a painful theme as the destruction of the palaces of Peterhof, Pavlovsk and Strelna by the artillery of the Baltic Fleet. It is also described in detail about the true role of the Finnish army - the “second soul mate” of the blockade ring.
The book is written on the basis of archival materials, which were classified before official documentation, little -known memoirs and is first published in print.
