Less unit. Brodsky I.
The book included the chosen essays of Joseph Brodsky (1940-1996), the great poet, translator, playwright, Nobel laureate in literature (1987). This collection was first published in New York in 1986 and at the same time awarded the US National Council of Critics. Most of the texts were written by Brodsky in English and only a few of them in Russian. A number of translations were authorized and published during the life of the author. Especially for the present publication, Maxim Nemtsov, a new translation of the Essay Plant, was completed, in which Brodsky recalls his parents, his youth and the famous house of Muruzi in Leningrad, where he lived until 1972 and from where he was forced to go into emigration.
