Matsuo Basa is a Japanese poet of the XVII century, who made a significant contribution to the development of Japanese poetry. The philosophy of Zen Buddhism, which professed the bass, found expression in the simplicity of the form and depth of the content of its poems. The bass spent a significant part of his life in wanderings in Japan. Road impressions served him as a source of inspiration.
“Letters of the Wandering Poet” - the name of one of the poetic travel diaries of the bass. In the original, it is called “Oi-no Kobumi”, that is, letters from the OI-small Suma, which Buddhist monks wore on the neck. In addition to poems from this diary, the book included hockey, raven and poems from the travel diary “Bones whitening in the field”.
