Letters to Talier. Hang out the sight. Indig M.
“Letters to Talier” is a unique correspondence between a soldier, a student of Eshiva, a certain indig and a non -religious young kibbutz, he is unfamiliar. Their letters, unsophisticated and at the same time deep, raise fundamental issues and reflect a considerable part of the disagreement between their so different, simultaneously close and distant, worlds.
of the same dov Indig, we meet in the novel “Hind the sight”, where he appears before us one of the heroes of this book, written by his childhood friend Haimom Sabato.
Haim Sabato is an outstanding writer and the head of one of the most famous in Israel. His book is at the same time about war and faith. The battles in it do not replace God, and it is in them that the oldest Jewish Talmudic and mystical teachings gain a new life meaning. The book will allow us to hang out our views on the war and to the Torah, on our modernity and its connection with the past millennia of our history. And once again, look at Dov not only as a participant in the correspondence we transfered, but as a character of another book, which, only mentioning in it, is, in fact, its main character. As a result, this soldier, who did not return from the war, left us thanks to an unfamiliar friend and a close friend's memory of himself and about his time.
