Prilepin in this project acts as a compiler of collections and the author of preface to them. The first five books of the library include the works of Sergei Yesenin, Anatoly Mariengof, Pavel Vasiliev, Boris Kornilov and Vladimir Lugovsky.
Vladimir Lugovskaya (1901-1957) was one of the most popular poets of the 1930s, the singer of revolutionary romance, the transformation of nature and society. Having survived a long personal crisis, in the mid-1950s he returned to the reader with new verses, philosophically comprehending the life of life. Today, his poems and poems need a new reading as a vivid phenomenon of Russian literature of the twentieth century.
Sergey Yesenin (1895 - 1925) still remains one of the most beloved, truly folk Russian poets. However, for many years his poems were condemned as “decadent”, and now his scandalous glory sometimes overshadows a literary reputation. In this book, the famous works of Yesenin are adjacent to little -known, clearly representing the creative evolution of the poet against the backdrop of the stormy events of his time. For many years, Anatoly Mariengof (1897 - 1962) was known only as a satellite of Yesenin, the author of brilliant, but not always reliable literary memoirs. Only recently, his original poems, poems, plays, lyrical miniatures returned to the reader. These works put Marienhof among the major masters of Russian literature, draw the drama of the poet who has gone from short glory to oblivion. The name of Pavel Vasiliev (1909 - 1937) stands among the most striking stars of Russian poetry of the twentieth century. With free verses and scandalous deeds, he shocked colleague literature, although many of them highly appreciated his “Gift growing from the soil”. The death of Vasiliev during the years of repression for a long time led him out of literary household, and today his works are known much less than they deserve. The works of Boris Kornilov (1907 - 1938) seemed to be written by two different authors. One is the author of the sonorous Komsomol verses, including the famous “Song of the Incoming”, the other is a thin lyricist, a deeply recognizing fragility of the world and man in it. The feeling of tragic doom is growing in it until the arrest and execution of false charges. This book for the first time in a long time introduces the reader to the work of one of the most famous poets of the 1930s.
The compiler of collections and the author of the preface is the famous writer Zakhar Prilepin.
