Light and darkness are two basic principles in the world. Light - from the sky, darkness - from the earth. The author consistently considers human psychology from the angle of view of this dualism. He himself poses questions: what is light and darkness, what are their properties, how do they interact, where a person is laid for a limit in their knowledge, how do a person and his world change in the process of cognition? And finally, the question that the author calls the most important: what is the cause of human suffering? As a result, something more is obtained than psychology - religion. However, the author does not deny this, he himself recognizes this at the end of the book.
