The debut story of the screenwriter and director of Islam Hanipaev was written on behalf of an eight -year -old boy living in Makhachkala. Having lost his mother and put on attacks at school, the hero finds support from an imaginary friend - cool Ali. He is preparing to become a “great warrior” and goes in search of his father. This is not only a story about injury and overcoming it, this is a book about growing up and accepting a difficult truth by a hero, to whom you unconditionally believe and empathize. The story “Type I” became the finalist of the Lyceum Prize and entered the short list of the Nose Prize (2021).
