Litchitkall. Somehow the horse enters the bar. Grossman D.
A whole life is a length of one standap. Doval is a comedian whose glory is already behind. In his speech, he maneuverates between rampant fun and a nervous breakdown. Flying out with the public, he creates stage memoirs. Gradually, due to the facade of the jokes, the tragic past appears: the horrors of childhood, the brutality of the father, military service. Humor becomes the only way to overcome the past.
57-year-old judge and professional standap-comedian Doval Ji invites former judge Avisha to his speech. They knew each other in childhood, but almost 40 years did not communicate and did not maintain contact. Avishai does not understand the reason for this invitation, which was too sudden for the judge (he is a storyteller). The comedian says that he wants Avishai to listen carefully and look at him and then he said that he had seen in the comedian, that is, he remembered the past that unites them. The action of the novel fits in this evening performance in an unsightly small club of one of the Israeli cities. Doval begins his performance with vulgar and rude jokes, gradually including more and more memories from childhood between them. The audience, which came to relax and ventilate the head, begins to resent that the evening from comedy turns into a tragedy.
