Little women. Olcott L.M.
Louise May Olcott (1832-1888)-an American writer who became famous in 1868 thanks to the publication of the autobiographical novel “Little Women”.
Roman became one of the first works for girls written in the genre of family saga. The events of the book unfold in America during the Civil War of the North and South. The author showed a period of growing up the four sisters of the march family: a good and romantic Meg, a “break” in Joe's skirt, a modest and kind bet, perky, frivolous Amy. While the father of the girls fights in the war, all the care of the house lies on the shoulders of the mother of the family, while the sisters are trying not to lose heart, they help each other cope with difficulties, overcome different sorrows and share the joys of life. And no war can prevent the girls from growing up: to dream, hope, to fall in love.
