Lolita. Nabokov V.V.
A forty -year -old writer and Rantier, having moved from Paris to America, falls in love with a twelve -year -old provincial schoolgirl, the desire to possess his destructive mania. Bringing Vladimir Nabokov (1899–1977), technically one of his most perfect books - daring, deep, witty, piercing and living - “Lolita” (1955) invariably divides readers into two categories: admiring connoisseurs of bright art and all the others..
In the mid -60s, Nabokov created the Russian version of his favorite book, making various additions and clarifications to it. The Russian edition saw the light in New York in 1967. Despite the ban, which lasted until 1989, Lolita became widespread in the USSR and had a significant impact on all subsequent Russian literature.
