“Loneliness and freedom”-a collection of critical essays of the poet-Acmeist and literary criticism of Russian emigration Georgy Adamovich. These are discussions about the style, skill, successes and failures of the writers of the Russian abroad, the story of the stamina of people, in the homeless loneliness of defending freedom and dignity of creativity. But at the same time, these literary feuilletons are a peculiar autobiography of Adamovich.
