Luke Perrone, the artist and great -grandson of the person who stole Monu Lisa, and Alix Verde, the daughter of a shadow collector of works of art, accidentally discover under a cheap picture an old portrait of a man with a red beard. Perhaps this is the last self -portrait of Van Gogh, who disappeared without a trace after his funeral. To confirm his authenticity to Luke and Alix, no artistic puzzle has to be solved.

When only a few days later the picture is kidnapped, the platform, together with Interpol agent John Washington Smith, begin deadly searches that will not only reveal the secrets of the last days of Van Gogh’s life, but also transfer them to one of the gloomy eras of history...
