The main character of the book is Lera Zhuravleva, a selfish student of the Faculty of Law. Once she is invited to a party at which there will be Red, the most popular guy of the university. Lera secretly in love with Red, and of course, hopes that at a party she will be able to meet him and even dance. But all evening Lera spends in the company of another guy, whose name is Ivan. An accident occurs, and Leroux strokes with an electric shock. The next morning, she wakes up and understands that she can read the thoughts of others. Lera learns a lot of new and not quite pleasant about herself. Her relationships with her mother and best friend Valya are spoiling. To the university in which Lera is studying, a new student is transferred, this turns out to be Ivan from the party. Lera understands that now she likes Ivan more, but she cannot read the thoughts of this guy. The new ability of Lera is absolutely useless, and the girl has to look for the heart of Ivan.
