The state of protection of the air basin from pollution by boiler plants at railway enterprises is analyzed by modern mechanisms for the formation of pollutants during fuel combustion. Methods and devices are proposed that reduce harmful emissions from boilers, including promising low -waste (best available) fuel combustion technologies and copyright innovative technical developments in the field of security in the technosphere, protected by patents for inventions and useful models. The environmental and economic assessment of the protection of the air basin from pollution is shown. Control questions are given for independent testing of knowledge on the topics studied, test tasks have been developed in the appendix.
