Kostya from the story “Lucky” from childhood excite completely adult questions: how to get out of poverty, how to make a happy mother? Dreams that appear at his age, he manages to realize, becoming a student. Kostya finds the way to a special world where there is no poverty and war, where diseases have long been defeated, where people are engaged in science and creativity. But will he and his loved ones be able to stay in this world, will anyone make a mistake capable of destroying the general happiness?

In the story “Kaliki cross-country” the main character-the artist of Lika. For her, another world becomes the village where it is sent for the summer. Here, a neighbor's grandmother may well be an evil sorceress, and a littered street is dear to an unknown one. The summer spent in the village helps Lika then all year, while she goes to an unloved school and feels that even her mother does not understand her. But how long will this feeling of contact with the unknown be preserved? What to look for a support when you are not eight years old for a long time - when you are growing up?

Evgenia Basova, laureate of the competition named after K. Chukovsky and "Book", finalist of the award named after V. Krapivina, says that he likes to write about the riddles that she meets in life, and one of the largest mysteries around us is ourselves, people. "Why do we sometimes do to the harm, why are we attracted by those who do not value us?" -In the books of Evgenia there will be no simple questions and answers.
