Majuration of the Mayan code: how scientists deciphered the writing of ancient civilization

Mayan's inscriptions were opened a few hundred years ago, but they managed to read them recently. And if it were not for the research talent of several scientists, including our compatriot Yuri Knorozov, the Maya language would probably remain a mystery to this day. The history of this amazing decoding is told by the Mayanist archaeologist Michael Ko, a professor at Harvard University.

Ko personally knew Knorozov and did a lot to popularize his work during the “Iron Curtain”. His book talks about breakthroughs and difficulties that accompanied one of the greatest intellectual achievements of the 20th century.
