Malachite Box. Bazhov P.P.
Pavel Petrovich Bazhov (1879-1950) was born in the Urals in the factory village of Sysert, in the family of a mountain master. He spent his childhood among prospectors and masters who mines and process malachite and mica. After graduating from the spiritual seminary, he taught Russian in Yekaterinburg, traveled a lot around the Urals, collected folk headings, legends and fairy tales. On this material, famous Bazhov tales were created, works in which truth and fiction are inextricably intertwined.
