Marxism and the national-colonial question. Stalin I.V.
The book contains the chosen works of the leader of the Soviet state I.V. Stalin, dedicated to the national issue. The classical work “Marxism and the National Question” (1913) opens the book, which examines and refutes the arguments of the “Austroxists”, supporters of “national-cultural autonomy”. The book also contains selected articles, reports and speeches on the national issue, mainly published after 1917.
The new edition of the classical work is the most complete. It contains all articles from the previous publications of 1934 and 1939. The book is published according to the first edition of 1934, which has long become a bibliographic rarity (changes were made to later publications regarding the exclusion of sources for various reasons). But it also includes two articles published in the 1939 publication - extracts from the speech of the friendship of the peoples of the USSR and part of the report on the draft Constitution of the USSR of 1936, dedicated to national relations in the Soviet Union.
The book includes an article by the famous historian and philosopher Yu. I. Semenov “From the history of theoretical development of the problem of the nation in Marxist literature”, in which the main work of the book is critically understanding.
The book is intended for historians, sociologists, political scientists, philosophers, students and graduate students of the corresponding specialties, as well as a wide range of readers interested in the history of the USSR, the search for solving national problems, the theory and the history of Marxism and socialism.
