more than eighty years have passed since the death of the great opera singer Fedor Ivanovich Chaliapin (1873-1938), but interest in his personality and creativity does not weaken, he continues to remain the standard of the opera singer, a model for imitation, the idol of many people, the pride of the Russian and the pride of the Russian world culture. The real edition included two autobiographical books of Chaliapin. “Pages from my life” is written in Russia, in it the singer tells of his childhood and a thorny path to the heights of glory. “Mask and Soul” were created in exile, in it he openly talks about the pain that the exile in longing for the homeland feels, about his soul, which many could not understand, shares his creative searches, reflects on art and recalls people, with people, with which was faced with his fate-famous composers, directors, artists-decorators and artists.
