The book contains notes of all seminars held in 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 of the academic years on the experimental stream of the Faculty of Mechanical and Mathematics of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov (Group 341). The material of this book is based on the course of lectures “Equations of mathematical physics”, which was read by the authors in the same years (the book of the same name with this course is also published in our publishing house), significantly complementing and developing it.

The book is divided into two parts corresponding to the first and second semesters. The first part mainly follows the traditional course of the equations of mathematical physics. It is devoted to issues related to calculations or using methods known from the lecture course for solving simple quality problems. The materials of the second semester, with the exception of the introductory seminar and the first two seminars according to the Fourier method, belong to much more modern sections of mathematical physics.

The last chapter of each part is a solution to all the tasks of homework and demonstration tests formulated in previous chapters of this part.

The book is designed for university students - mathematicians, physicists and engineers with increased mathematical training, as well as graduate students and teachers of the corresponding faculties.
