In the collection of works of outstanding mathematician A. N. Kolmogorov (1903-1987), his works related to the history of the development of mathematics are presented. Structurally, the collection is divided into three sections. The first of them publishes the classical article “Mathematics” and the article “Development of mathematics in the USSR” from the Great Soviet Encyclopedia. The second contains articles related to mathematical thinking in the XVII and XIX centuries (with examples of Newton and Lobachevsky). Finally, the third section of the book consists of selected scientific biographies (personalities) of mathematicians of the 20th century, which is opened with two essays on the life and activities of the outstanding Soviet topologist P.
