Alexander Isaevich Solzhenitsyn (1918-2008) was a witness and a direct participant in many large -scale historical events and went his way along with his generation, fully experiencing all the hardships that fell to the share of his contemporaries.

In the story “Matryonin Court”, we are talking about the difficult fate of a Russian woman who survived two wars, who buried the children who experienced the hardships of overwhelming labor and retained a pure, disinterested, living soul. The book also included the story “One Day of Ivan Denisovich” - the first published work of A. I. Solzhenitsyn. It became a noticeable phenomenon not only in Soviet, but also in world literature.
