Maya Plisetskaya. Five days with a legend. Documentary history. Vernik V.E.

In 1996, journalist and TV presenter Vadim Vernik shot a documentary about Maya Plisetskaya “Maya. Classic dance lesson ”(in the television cycle“ Saturday evening with a star ”). The shooting took place in the small Finnish city of Mikkels, and for five days, Vernik was lucky to communicate a lot with the great ballerina. And years later, the idea appeared on the basis of these conversations to make a book, especially since most of the materials did not enter the film due to a limited timing. This book is an attempt by the author to show Maya Plisetskaya “with your own eyes”, draw a portrait without posing and all kinds of myths around her name.
