reprint from the publication. Moscow, 1927. Georgy Arkadievich Shengeli - Russian poet and translator, critic, philologist. Born in 1894 in Temryuk. In 1912 he began to write poetry, became interested in the poem. At the end of 1913 he published the first verses in the newspaper. In January 1914, he met with Kerch at Kerch at the “Futurism Olympics” by V. Mayakovsky. In 1925-1927, he was the chairman of the All -Russian Union of Poets. He taught at the clouds. In the second half of the 1920s, he worked in the newspaper Gudok. At the same time, his acute polemic with V. Mayakovsky (Pampflet “Mayakovsky in full growth”, 1927) dates back to the same time.
