The textbook is written by the team of the Department of Microbiology, virology and immunology of the First Moscow Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov (Sechenov University) in accordance with the officially approved programs for teaching microbiology (bacteriology, virology, mycology, protozoology) and immunology at all faculties of medical universities.

" The textbook consists of 20 chapters, in which issues of general and private microbiology, virology and immunology are consistent. The classification of microbes is given in accordance with the latest international official documentation.
