“Medicine” is the only textbook at present, including an integrative course of two disciplines - pharmacology and pharmacognosy. This allows you to get the most complete idea of ​​modern therapy for both synthetic and plant drugs. The course of pharmacology is represented by two large sections - general and private pharmacology. Modern problems of general pharmacology, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, clinical use and undesirable effects of drugs on the organs and systems of human systems are considered. The fundamental foundations of the action of drugs and clinical approaches to pharmacotherapy of diseases are set out. Descriptions of all medicinal plants are complemented by illustrations. Questions for self -training at the end of each section allow students to independently evaluate the degree of perception of the studied material. At the end of the textbook, indicators of medicines, medicinal plants in Russian and Latin are given.

The textbook was prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of SPO in the specialty 33.02.01 "Pharmacy" and is intended for students of pharmaceutical schools and colleges.
