Absolutely in all of his works, even a small form, Dostoevsky is looking for an answer to the question that he asked throughout his life: where is the border between good and evil - in the heart of an individual and the whole society?

Although the stories “Crocodile”, “Failure joke”, “Man of Hares” are, as it were, in the shadow of “Great Pentateuch”, but it was in them that this most important problem of Dostoevsky’s work was developed. One of the latest works occupies a special place - the surprisingly touching story “Mole”, where the writer explores the relationship of tyrant and victims on the example of an ordinary family.
