Doris Lessing (b. 1919) is one of the most outstanding modern authors, she is a Laureate of the Nobel Prize in Literature (2007) and many other prestigious international awards, including the British prizes of David Cohen and Somerset Maam, the Spanish Prince of the Prince of Asturiysk The German Prize Alfred Tepfer and the Italian Green Cavor. Lessing creativity is truly multifaceted, her works of various genres belong to her pen: from anti -colonial novels to philosophical science fiction. The most significant works of the writer include the novels “Golden Notebook”, “The grass sings”, “Cleat” and, of course, “The Memories of the Survivor”. This is a brilliant anti -utopia, sometimes developing into a philosophical parable, a bizarre synthesis of feminism and science fiction, realism and psychological prose. This book is full of truly female wisdom and makes the reader think about eternal values, about the fate of mankind and what forces can save our civilization from death.
