Infancy is a special age in a person’s life that is not like all others. Already in the first year of life, a child forms relationships with surrounding people, various ways of knowing the world of objects are developing, the foundations of personality and self -awareness are laid. Stages in the development of communication serve as milestones that distinguish the first year of life for two age periods: the first half of the year (including the period of newborn) and the second half of the year. Each of these periods is characterized by its distinguishing features of various aspects of the child’s psyche.

This manual is addressed to teachers of preschool educational organizations, parents, students of pedagogical universities.
